Alan’s photographs, part 3.

I went to King’s College, London, and here I am at the annual ball.

During the vacation I worked at Butlin’s, Clacton, and had what we called a ‘crew cut’ for my identity card photo.

I was a keen member of the B.T.R.S.
( British Tape Recording Society.)

We used to "tapespond", i.e. a development of corresponding with pen-pals; sending messages recorded on reel tapes, together with music etc.

After tapesponding for a few years, I was invited to stay with Peter Copley (bottom right) in Stockport, Cheshire
(7 miles from Manchester), and we met up with 3 other members.
