Bahá’í Pilgrimage – a personal perspective.

My 9 day pilgrimage was from 15-10-01 to 23-10-01.  I stayed at the Rutenberg Guest House, having breakfast at the Rutenberg Institute, where the staff are very friendly and accommodating; a frequent bus service runs to the pilgrim reception centre, or the energetic can walk it in about 25 minutes.

Up to 150 pilgrims can now be accommodated in the new pilgrim reception centre, although there were only 101 while I was  there, divided into 4 groups.  Nevertheless I met pilgrims and visitors from 19 different countries: Alaska, Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Fiji, Germany, Ghana, Holland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Ukraine & USA.

Details of each day of the pilgrimage are on 9 other pages,
